A Word from Pastor Buck
"We are a Ministry of humble beginnings. We started off in a space at a local Fire Company offering free soup, sandwiches and “talk”. We believe that WordUP, which stands for God’s Word, can lift people up, encourage and guide them. We didn’t want to just feed them soup and sandwiches, we wanted to feed them spiritually. Fast Forward 2018, God opened a door at a local business, Dutchland Inc. Lead Pastor Buck Mowday's inspiration for WordUP came from Isaiah 43:19 - "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." The Holy Spirit reminded Buck of this Scripture, that God wants to do a new thing. For him, and for WordUP, Buck believes this is the new thing."
We believe that the gospel of Christ is the hope of the world, and it's the heart of the church to bring that hope to others. This belief is the foundation of our church and informs all we preach, teach, and practice.
